To prevent and reduce harmful and abusive behaviours through proactive harm-prevention strategies, early intervention, and human-led support.
One of Us Foundation is an Australian charity dedicated to preventing and reducing harmful behaviours through early intervention, crisis response, and structured professional support.
Our work focuses on preventing harm at the earliest point of risk — before situations escalate. We provide timely, accessible, and confidential support for individuals and families experiencing distress, unsafe circumstances, or vulnerability to harm.
We aim to reduce the impact of self-harm, suicide, family violence, substance-related harm, and other high-risk behaviours by delivering immediate intervention and ongoing behaviour change support, delivered by licensed professionals. Our approach prioritises safety, stabilisation, and connection to appropriate care pathways.
Our charitable purpose is to protect life and safety by supporting behavioural change and strengthening protective factors that reduce future harm. Through these services, we promote safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing across the community.
One of Us Foundation exists exclusively for charitable purposes to prevent and control harmful behaviours that place individuals and families at risk, including family violence, substance misuse, self-harm, and suicide.
We respond to crisis situations through immediate, professional intervention delivered by licensed mental health practitioners via phone, online, and in-person support. Our focus is to reduce immediate risk, prevent escalation, and ensure individuals receive timely and appropriate care.
We also provide structured behaviour change counselling to support individuals experiencing or engaging in harmful behaviours. This service helps reduce the likelihood of recurrence, supports safer decision-making, and assists individuals in moving away from unsafe or abusive environments.
Alongside these core services, we deliver programs that support early intervention and harm prevention, strengthening safety, stability, and wellbeing across the community.
